This painting on porcelain has a lovely lady with roses and a bow on her hat and more roses in her arms. The artist Wagner is known to have painted beautiful women on porcelain plates and plaques. When you look at this plaque, you can see how very talented of an artist he was. This painting on porcelain was probably painted in the 1890s-1900. The porcelain plaque is entitled Queen of Roses on its back. It is in a lovely gilt frame. Framed the plaque is 13 inches wide by 16 inches tall. Unframed, the plaque is 5 1/2 inches wide and 7 inches tall. The porcelain plaque is in very good condition. The gilded frame has some spots where the frame was touched up, as you can see in the pictures. These spots are consistent with its antique age. This is a beautiful, rare museum quality porcelain plaque.
